Antique RCA Victor III Talking Machine Record Player Phonograph w/ Oak Horn
Regular price
$1,901.00
Over the years I have had many Victor Phonographs, however this is the first time I have had a Victor III with its original Oak Horn. Fresh from a New England home this Talking Machine is in restored condition and still works. The spring is strong and motor and in complete original condition. The front plaque reads model number “VIC III” and serial “44022.” This 14 1/8” square machine still retains its original dark crazed finish, and other than a ding to the top edge and one small missing corner piece off the back right hand side, this oak case is in very good condition. The green felt is original, but has some soiling and the nickel plating on the edge of the table, handle of the crank and turn table lock has some light overall rust. The cast metal arm, and nickel shafts are in very good condition, however the rubber collar/gasket that holds the “Victor Exhibition Reproducer” has deteriorated. The reproducer itself is in very good condition, and is marked on the back the number “276272.” When I opened this machine up I found a ton of needles, which are included in this auction. … The 23” tall by 22” diameter Oak Horn still retains its original decal, however as you can see it has some damage to the thin veneer. This rare oak horn has a section mostly only visible by the inside that the layers of thin oak veneer have started to separate. There is some buckling to the outside layer as well and a several small pieces missing. There are no cracks or restorations and this rare horn still retains its original dark finish. ... T
